Reporting to the Assistant Director of Human Resources, assists management in administering policies, procedures and collective bargaining agreements concerning citywide employee/labor relations activities. Work involves responsibility for performing a wide variety of functions regarding all phases of collective bargaining negotiations,
contract agreements, impasse proceeding, grievance and related employee relations activities; investigating employee or applicant complaints and grievances; performs related duties as assigned.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business/Public Administration, or related field and three (3) years of progressive labor relations experience, or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Masters Degree, PHR/SPHR, NPELRA or FPELRA Certifications, highly desirable.
A valid Florida driver’s license is required. A valid driver’s license from any state (equivalent to a State of Florida     Class E) may be utilized upon application; with the ability to obtain the State of Florida driver’s license within 30 days from day of employment.

Depending on qualifications, the hiring salary for this position can be within the range of $53,570—$69,410 annually.

The selection process for this position may consist of any, all or a combination of the following tests: evaluation of training and experience, written examination, structured oral interview or other assessment method.
